My yoga story is very unique. I discovered yoga in 1970 at the age of 17. My first yoga teacher was a suburban housewife. I was with a schoolmate at her home and Mrs. Berger took us into the living room to teach us yoga headstand. I took to it like a fish to water and still practice that pose today on a daily basis.

From that moment forward I became completely intrigued with yoga and began reading books and practicing on my own. Later in college there was a free sundown yoga class every day at 6 PM. This was in New Paltz NY at the height of the hippy movement and these yogis lived at a local Ashram and taught us Kundalini Yoga. This was the real deal. These were renunciates all dressed in white and wearing white turbans. You could say I learned from the best!
I practiced yoga on and off for many years and at some point, in my late 40’s I got very serious. I got certified to teach Kriplau Yoga in 2003 and I currently have 18 years of experience teaching yoga to people from all walks of life.

After relocating to South Florida in 2010 I began teaching a weekly class for beginners at The Highland Beach Library where I gained a large following. Unfortunately, due to the Covid pandemic that weekly class is temporarily on hold. The future of that class is unfortunately unknown at this time. I am currently in search of an alternate location for the weekly class offering.
